Form 990, Part XI, Line 9 Discrepancies in accrual accounting In August of 2024, elections were held by the governing body for a new Treasurer. This occurred because the incumbent Treasurer decided to step down from the role and explore other opportunities. As a result of the election, a new Treasurer assumed the position for a total of three weeks before abandoning duties. During those three weeks, account changeovers and information transfers took place. Upon the abandonment of duties, a special election was held resulting in my assuming the role. When this occurred, the same account changeovers and information transfers failed to take place, and proper expectations of duties were not outlined. I have done my best to keep up with an ever-increasing amount of backlogged work from a previously extremely disorganizing system. Most of the 2024 reports were inaccurate, causing me to have to re-do them all before being able to begin this work. When I asked the previous Treasurer for assistance - as I have never held this position before and have never filed taxes in this scenario - he advised me to "do everything the same as last year;" that I didn't need help. I asked for last year's documents and he advised he did not have them. With my inability to access past records of filings, combined with past financial reporting being inaccurate, I have had to recreate all documents and learn how to file this for the first time. As a result, I am figuring this all out in real time with no assistance.
