<DescriptionProgramSrvcAccomTxt>Education: Bread to the Nations (BttN) partners with some of the best schools in Haiti, to provide education for children. In 2024, BttN supported the cost of tuition for 38 students. Most of these students come from vulnerable situations and would not be in school or attending a poor quality school if not for the support of BttN. BttN contracts with local Haitians to lead this initiative. They are responsible for keeping all records on the children and their progress in school with academics and attendance. We provide additional tutoring and support to the families when necessary, all to ensure success in the program. In 2024, two of our students received their high school diploma, one student entered her second year in nursing school and two other children started trade schools and have started businesses on their own initiative. All of this is possible through the support of BttN and encouragement of its leaders serving on the ground in Haiti. The total amount spent to support the education initiative in 2024 was $14,573. This includes tuition costs, tutoring, books, uniforms and contract employee expenses.</DescriptionProgramSrvcAccomTxt>
