Many of those are priceless such as original manufacturing records from the local construction of ships used in the War of 1812. The historical documents have been cataloged and digitalized in order to preserve the content and enable public access. Appropriate storage has been provided for these priceless documents. Historical artifacts in the Bixbys possession have been cataloged. Curriculum kits with appropriate local artifacts for use in the area schools has been completed and utilized by the schools. Certain Native American artifacts have been identified for repatriation with the help from a grant from the Champlain Valley Natural Heritage Patnership. However, it is review by one other person on the Finance Committee. All of the information provided in form 990 is distributed to the Board of Trustees at the end of the fiscal year through reports generated by the accounting software in use and includes sheets as well as budgets to actual reports. Additional monthy reports including revenue and expense information to date, as well as investment balances, are provided and approved throughout the year. In addition the completed Form 990 is made available to the Trustees via an on-line drive. Pt VI, Line 19 The Bixby Memorial Free Library makes available to the public, on request, copies of any public documents, including policies, meeting minutes and fiancial reports, within 5 business days of receipt of request to the Executive Director. In addition, the mission statements, by-laws, policies, board and committee agenda and meeting minutes and budget are posted on the Bixbys website.
