Line 28) Hardee County Farm Bureau participated in Ag-Fest. All 4th grade students in Hardee County are invited to attend the event. Students received an opportunity to learn about agriculture through hands-on experiences. Stations were set up with various topics and commodities: aquaculture, hydroponics, apairy, research and ag tech, as well as traditional commodities. Students learn about the importance of local agriculture and gain an appreciation for the efforts made by farmers and ranchers in our community. Line 29) Hardee County Farm Bureau supports FFA and 4-H. Over the years we have sponsored the fair and donated materials to student projects. Students involved with 4-H and FFA learn how to become the next generation of leaders in agriculture. Line 30) Hardee County Farm Bureau held a speech contest. The topic students were asked to speak on was how does Farm Bureau help connect youth to agriculture. The speech contest helps students with public speaking and research skills. We try to create and foster relationships with the next generation of agriculturalist so they can continue to work towards the betterment of those engaged in agriculture.
