Each chapter, made of boys and girls of all demographics and backgrounds, puts our Peace Pledge into action in ways that are personally meaningful and culturally relevant. Since 2006, Kids for Peace has launched over 582 interconnected chapters around the world. These trailblazing kids are changing the world for good! 117096 During our 14th annual Great Kindness Challenge (GKC), we engaged 21,287,464 students in 43,255 schools in all 50 states and 135 countries who accomplished over a billion acts of kindness. During The GKC, we responded to the devastating Los Angeles fires -- where nearly a dozen of our Great Kindness Challenge schools were destroyed -- with a Love for LA Campaign. Over 200 schools in 33 states responded and collected 40,797 pairs of love-infused socks together with 13,000+ heartfelt messages of love and support. The impact continues to be reflected in the negative net assets balance ($49,647). Major ongoing factors include the deferral of making payments on the EIDL loan that was obtained in 2020-21, inflationary pressure on expenses, and the fact that contributions and grants have not recovered to pre-COVID levels. Management believes to begin to make regular payments on the EIDL loan in 2025-26 and continues to pursue increasing income while seeking to manage costs.
