Part XII, Line 1 As a result of this federal award, this agency is required to undergo an audit set forth under the Single Audit Act and OMB Circular !-133 at the discretion of the government. This agency's audit is reviewed under this circular by an independent audit firm each year. This audit can be scheduled or randomly selected for review by the governmental agency with oversight at anytime. The submission of the Form 990 was not filed on timed due to the transition in financial management within the organization. The previous finance manager abruptly departed without completing a full and orderly transfer of financial records and documentation. As a result, the current finance manager was required to undertake extensive research, reconciliation and reconstruction of the organization's financial information to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the return. This process was both time consuming and necessary to meet our obligation to file the Form 990. We respectfully request that this explanation be accepted as a reasonable cause for the delay in filing.
