A copy of the Form 990 is provided to the governing body. A document is prepared by the Treasurer that describes key data within the tax return. A meeting is held to discuss the content of the form with the governing body before it is submitted to the IRS. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c The Officers and Trustees monitor potential conflicts of interest by routine meetings with both Committee members and Officers that lead the activities of the council. There is a monthly Officers meeting as well as numerous committee meetings during the year at which time issues are discussed and decisions made regarding proper handling of events and leadership.
