Our expecutive director meets and corresponds with Camp Rockmont prior and during the summer concerning the campers who will attend. Several board members are present during Adventure Week to meet with the leaders of the participating organizations. Further, many board members volunteer as needed during that week. Pt III, col (b) Since, 2008, Camp Rockmont in Black Mountain, NC has served as the host camp for Adventure Week. Camp Rockmont partners with organizations that currently work with at risk or underprivileged boys in cities throughout the Southeast (ie., Boys Clubs, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, etc). They work together to identify boys who qualify for a CDF scholarship and work directly with the respective organizations and the boys families to make all the arrangements to attend Adventure Week or a Classic 2 week session. The Camp Diversity Foundation then provides the necessary funding for those boys to attend camp. Pt VI, Line 11b The 990 is prepared by a CPA firm, reviewed by management, presented to the board for review, proposed revisions and final approval. Pt VI, Line 2 David Bruce (Executive Director) and Cindy Bruce (Secretary) are husband and wife. Board Members Paul and Tim Gwaltney are brothers.
