Through this program, we provided groceries to vulnerable households, including those with disabilities, to help cushion them from rising food prices due to inflation. We also assisted four families in securing essential household items such as furniture, bedding, desks, and chairs. Additionally, we co-hosted two community-building events, Africa Praise Day in Delaware County and an International Students Dinner, to welcome and connect new members to our growing community. 8470 0 0 Social Service Connect is designed to link migrant and refugee families with essential services including education, healthcare, legal aid, and housing. In 2024, we supported 16 families, assisting with school enrollment, medical appointments, and legal referrals. Our emergency response efforts provided critical support to families in crisis, covering transportation, food, utility bills, rent, and medical expenses. Additionally, CIMS coordinated transportation for individuals needing access to medical and other vital appointments. 9700 0 0 Through our Digital Support Program, we piloted an electronics recycling and distribution initiative in partnership with a local private donor. Online fundraising efforts generated $7,500, while a direct appeal to supporters, friends, and family raised an additional $18,480. Our programs were further supported by in-kind contributions from volunteers, including the pro bono service of the Executive Director and others, valued at $29,000. It was adopted by the Board as part of the organization's founding documents, and all Board members are required to review and formally attest to it on an annual basis.
