Our By-Laws specifically state that once an athlete signs the registiration form for the season, that athletes family becomes a member of the organization. All members have responsibility to volunteer for the team, participate and vote for the Board members, become a Board member to manage the organization and review/ approve significant decisions that are made by the governing board. Member election for additional members Part VI line 7a Rocky Mountain Splashs membership elects 7 of its membership to work as the Governming Board every year. This Board consists of older and newer members in order to be able to fully support the team and its coaches. These responsibilites of all members are written out in the organization by-laws. Governing body decisions Part VI line 7b Rocky Mountain Splash asks membership to revew and approve any significant decisions that the Board must make, such as setting the Budget for the season, electing Board members, and making any significant changes to any programs that the board for the organization may think need to be made. Form 990 governing body review Part VI line 11 The 990 is sent, via email, to all Board members, along with supporting documentation, for review prior to finalization and approval by the Treasurer.
