The Board is responsible for electing the officers. The organization provides their membership list upon request. Members elect the Board and the Board elects the officers. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 11b Copies are given to the board members for review if Form 990 is completed before SEE's joint meeting in February. If the 990 is not completed before the February meeting, Form 990 is emailed to the board for review. The board members email questions and the return is filed after the questions have been satisfactorily answered. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12c The organization has a written conflict of interest policy, which is regularly and consistently monitored to enforce compliance with the policy. As board meetings are conducted, any issues that would be a conflict of interest are identified and resolved. Due to the nature of the organization there are little to no such issues. In addition, since the organization is mainly an education organization and the directors are not compensated, there are few conflicts. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 15a The annual salary for the Executive Director was discussed and agreed upon by the Board of Directors considering the job description and the work experience of the ED. This was done in 2017, no change in this in 2018. A performance review was done in November 2019 and a performance bonus was given. The BOD discussed and provided a performance bonus in 2021 and 2022. No bonus provided in 2023. A performance review was done in February 2023 and a performance bnus was given.
