The Commission advocates for youth, identifying gaps in youth services and connecting youth to resources. Initiatives include youth mental health, civic engagement and youth issues candidates forum. In 2022 the CYC raised awareness about youth mental health, brought resources to teens and began a marketing campaign to reduce the stigma associated with seeking treatment.
