Alumni & Associates arranged several group activities and educational tours, state delegation meetings, and related activities for all Virginia attendees, including adding an extra 3 day educational experience at Walt Disney World that included lodging, theme park tickets, and special activities. Along with the national conference, Virginia Alumni & Associates coordinates programs and activities aimed at helping FCCLA chapters across the state in strengthening their FCCLA programs. They join the organization because they believe in its mission and wish to help facilitate leadership opportunities for student members and teachers in the FCCLA state association of FCCLA. No membership fees are charged. Membership is based solely on attending activities as a volunteer assistant. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7a A list of volunteer members is maintained and all meetings are open to the public. Officers are selected from the volunteers and form the Executive Board (leadership team.) No compensation is provided to any officer. The Executive Board makes decisions and maintains minutes and other records of the organization. Members of the Executive Board sign a conflict of interest policy as well as a commitment to service annually.
