Other foods and handicrafts some made by club members others imported from Denmark are also sold. Preparations for the Bazaar begins many months prior to the Bazaar which is held in November. Attendance varies but is normally well over 500 for the four hours the Bazaar is open. A percentage of the Bazaar profits as determined by the membership are designated for contribution to local charities or non-profit organizations who promote Danish Culture. Part VI, Line 7b The bylaws of the Club place certain restrictions on the authority of the governing body. By a plurality vote of the membership at any properly scheduled meeting of the membership the governing body may be given additional guidance or restriction on decisions affecting Club funds or policy. Part VI, Line 8a The bylaws do not require the taking of minutes for any other committee created by the governing body. Part VI, Line 11b The 990 is provided to any member requesting it in either electronic or paper format. They are not automatically distributed. Part VI, Line 19 The Clubs bylaws are available on the Clubs website {danishclubdc.org}. The financial statements are included in the annual report which is available to the membership of the Club and distributed at our annual meeting. The annual report bylaws or form 990 would be made available in electronic form to anyone requesting a copy. They could be made available in paper form for the cost of preparing and mailing. The Club has no conflict of interest policy nor any perceived need for one.
