Any expenses in excess of $600 in a calendar year for a travel companion are reportable to the IRS and subject to taxation. The following persons received this benefit for a travel companion in 2024: Andrew Lingler, Henry Patterson, Bret Fisher and Karen Akers. None of these expenses were taxable compensation to the listed persons. This program is comprised of several surveys and compiled for several regions throughout the nation. Increases are based on performance objectives determined by a subcommittee of the Board of Directors and presented to the full board for approval. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 6 The credit union is comprised of a single class of approximately 11,040 member-owners. Each member-owner has equal rights in ownership, governance and voting rights at the annual meetings. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7a The member-owners of the credit union have authority to elect the members of the Board of Directors for three-year terms on a rotating basis. Candidates are elected by a simple plurality vote. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7b Converting from federal share insurance to private share insurance in 2011 required a majority vote of a minimum number of eligible members. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b Prior to being filed with the IRS, a copy of IRS Form 990 and related schedules are reviewed by the CEO, including confirmation of the accuracy of every answer and oversight of appropriate changes. A complete copy of Form 990 and related schedules are made available to the Board of Directors prior to filing the form with the IRS. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c Officers, directors and key employees are required annually to submit a signed statement acknowledging that they have read and understand the conflict of interest policy and agree to comply with it.
