LAMA is the industrys liaison with Customs and Border Protection, the Coast Guard, the United States Department of Agriculture, the Corps of Engineers, the Transportation Security Administration, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and the Department of Homeland Security. One of the Associations most important functions is to disseminate timely information to its members. LAMA keeps its members updated on the status of draft conditions and related legislative and funding issues as they continue to make the Mississippi River the most productive and efficient in the nation. The Board evaluates his performance and reviews comparable data before the salary amount is finalized. Pt XII, Line 1 New Orleans Steamship Association reports their financial statements under the modified cash method of accounting. The accounting method has not changed from prior year. Pt VII, Col (F) Other compensation consists of retirement contributions made on behalf of the Association in addition to insurance premiums, including health, vision, dental, and life. Pt VI, Line 15b The key employees salary is determined by deliberation between the President of the Association and the Board. The Board evaluates his/her performance and reviews comparable data before the salary amount is finalized. Pt VI, Line 12c The Board reviews the Conflict of Interest Policy during regularly scheduled Board meetings. Pt VI, Line 6 The Board consist of 29 voting members. Pt VI, Line 4 The Board adopted a policy that allows full voting membership to decide whether or not the Association makes any decisions regarding Louisiana Pilotage Fee Commission matters that may affect them.
