Thailand Bakery Project (March)In collaboration with YSP Thailand, YSP USA helped establish a youth-run bakery in Surin Province. Chef Noriaki To trained local students in pastry skills, generating income and fostering self-reliance. Volunteers highlighted the project's spirit of service and intercultural exchange as a model of sustainable empowerment.3. Global Advocacy & UN Engagement (April-December)YSP USA represented IAYSP in multiple UN forums: ECOSOC Youth Forum Side Event: Co-organized to define global standards for meaningful youth engagement and influence the Pact for the Future. HLPF and Summit of the Future: Delegates participated in high-level UN dialogues on youth inclusion, sustainability, and intergenerational cooperation. Peace & Prosperity in the Asia-Pacific (May)Co-hosted with UPF and WFWPI at the UN, this luncheon gathered ambassadors from Asia and Africa to promote regional unity and security.5. HyoJeong Social (May)An interactive gathering promoting filial piety ("Hyo") and heartfelt service ("Jeong") as foundations for peaceful relationships and communities.6. Empower Youth Webinars (June)YSP DMV chapter hosted a six-part virtual career series, guiding young people toward purpose-driven professions.7. Africa Photo Project (July)Youth in Lusaka, Nairobi, and Kigali captured their communities through disposable cameras, illustrating peace, resilience, and hope. The initiative built storytelling and leadership skills through art.8. Interfaith and Cultural Outreach (Oct-Dec) IAYSP joined the Spirit of the UN Awards, promoting faith-based youth peacebuilding. Speakers Nagma Shrestha and Tiger Ryan represented YSP at global youth conferences, emphasizing character education and "Peace Starts with Me." The Peace Designer Workshop in Nepal empowered young women through SDG-linked project design.
