Part X, Line 2: The Foundation follows generally accepted accounting principles regarding "Accounting for Uncertain Tax Positions". This provides detailed guidance for financial statement recognition, measurement, and disclosure of uncertain tax positions recognized in the Foundation's consolidated financial statements. It requires an entity to recognize the financial statement impact of a tax position when it is more likely than not that the position will not be sustained upon examination. The Foundation has determined that it does not have any material unrecognized tax benefits or obligations. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 11b Form 990 is reviewed by the deputy director, the executive director and the finance committee prior to its filing. Form 990 is provided to the full board of trustees prior to filing. It is posted to a secure page of the center's website, with access limited to the trustees and staff members. The trustees are informed of the posting of the draft via an email message. They are asked to review the return and provide any comments or ask any questions within a specified time frame. Final changes, if any, are made to the draft, and reviewed by the deputy director prior to the filing of the return.
