It is a partnership of public and private institutions, agencies and individuals that respond to the health care needs of the communitys under-served population. A health care board provides guidance to the program in response to community health issues and evaluates the efficacy of the Networks programs. The initiative started over twenty years ago in response to an overwhelming need of low income, uninsured residents of Alachua County for medical services. The Foundations primary exempt purpose is to match volunteer doctors to those in need of medical and dental services in the community.
