The main changes were to: General changes for stylistic, grammatical, typographic, and spelling errors. Articicle 5, Section 4 to specify good standing for graduate students off appointment, Article 7 to specify that each school/district is allotted 2 bargaining committee spaces/ Article 8, Section 1 to allow any member to propose secret ballot for any vote before membership. Article 8 Section 4 to comply with UAW International bylaws requirement for monthly membership meetings and to increase quorum to over 10% withdrawn. Article 9 Section 4 to specify the number and allotment of Stewards as any fraction of fifty members shall result in the election of an additional Steward. Article 9 Section 5 to require Stewards to reside in or around New York City for the majority of the year. Article 12 to establish a Health Fund Committee, Article 14 to clarify the role of Workplace council meetings and to delineate outlines for public statements of support and affiliations. Article 16 Section 11 to specify the meaning of due notice for votes relating to strikes. These changes are reflected in the current Bylaws and can be accessed at our website.
