We now have over 1000 members who have earned their NEDA Proficiency Badge. Accomplishments over the past year (2024) include: Completing a rebranding including a new NEDA organization logo and member logo Organizing a 1-day death conference with 3 other End-of-Life organizations Hosting quarterly Virtual Member Socials to increase board transparency, understanding of various board initiatives and to encourage networking between members Hosting monthly educational webinars on a variety of diverse topics and speakers for our members Hosting Meet the NEDA Member Doula Trainers sessions to provide insight on the broad spectrum of EOLD training programs available to those interested in the field Hosting two a How Do You Doula? panel discussions for the general public featuring NEDA members who shared insights and experiences theyve gained in their various practices Hosting DEI-J listening circles for our members Continuing to expand our social media presence via Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn Partnering with organizations such as Hospice Federation of America to provide additional educational programming Increasing our NEDA merchandise options through an online store, Zazzle Beginning preparation for a 2025 in person conference for doulas The following goals have been tentatively identified for the coming 1-5 years: Create a new website Increase the number of member volunteers on our various committees, including event planning, finance, marketing, newsletter, social media, strategic planning, educational webinars. Increase our educational offerings to EOL doulas and EOL doula trainers, based on the results of our member survey. Continue to increase our visibility at national events and in the media. Increase our partnership and collaborations with other end-of-life organizations.
