Energy Coaches: Launching in Spring 2023 to provide residents with individualized information and assistance to navigate home energy retrofits. Volunteer coaches, trained by organizations like Efficiency Maine, inform residents of options and best practices, area installers, as well as rebates and other financial incentives. About 150 people were helped in 2025 through this program. 47167 37515 Waste Reduction and Diversion focused on reducing single use plastic waste in York and encouraging composting, particularly in York Schools. 0 2488 Our Community Outreach and Events offer an annual Climate Action Fair, a Tour of Sustainable Homes, Conversations with Coaches Series, a Climate Lecture Series in partnership with other community groups, a column in the local paper and community speaking and tabling events. This year they spent $229.10 on supplies to make signs in favor of a Town of York plastics ordinance that went before voters in 2024. Part II-B, Line 1 $229.10 was spent on supplies to make lawn signs placed around York ahead of election day in favor of a local plastics ordinance that was on the ballot. Part I, Line 16 Our Other Expenses were spent on Energy Coach training, event supplies, insurance, website and IT expenses and advertising and marketing costs.
