Of the 3,198 young served, 639 were diagnosed as having a disability. There were nearly 110,000 hours of collective programming, instruction and mentoring provided throughout the year. Out of 520 youth assessed, we found the following accomplishements 85% of students developed essential life skills such as financial literacy, job readiness and personal responsibility. 85% of students reported increased confidence in their ability to live independently after program completion. Music Instrument Instruction 78% developed the ability to critically listen to and analyze music. 70% of students worked with classmates and/or teachers on composing and performing original music. 75% of students produced and recorded original music. 70% reported increased confidence in their technical skills and creative abilities. The Art of Creative Writing and Lyrical Expression Program 80% of students created and completed original songs with meaningful lyrics and engaging compositions. 75% enhanced their ability to convey stories and emotions effectively through lyrics. 80% of students had the opportunity to showcase their talents by presenting their original work to an audience. Visual Arts Program 96% of students created a work of art focused on improving specific techniques (such as shading, perspective, etc.). 84% used art as a medium to better express their emotions, thoughts and personal experiences. 95% of students gained confidence by presenting their work and/or displaying their artwork to peers, teachers and the public. Academic Support Services (tutoring) 73% of students increased their standardized test scores. 78% of students increased their grade average. After School Arts Program 95% of students reported enhanced artistic skills and self-expression. 86% of students demonstrated improved academic performance through increased engagement in creative activities. Additional Data We employed over 38 individuals (including teaching artists, instructors, coaches, managers and other personnel) representing over $600,000 being reinvested in the communities we serve. We promoted and hosted several showcases, family fun Sundays, and events for our community and youth throughout the year. We believe in collective impact, having cultivated partnerships with more than 30 different government agencies, non-profits, institutions, schools and businesses in the fiscal year.
