Programmatic accomplishments are listed below: Harambee After The Bell - After School Programming In partnership with Pasadena Unified School District, Harambees After The Bell continues to provide a safe space for students after school, offering a range of activities to build relationships, encourage leadership, and foster holistic development. This year, we served over 120 scholars throughout the school year. We expanded our programming by partnering with John Barge & Skye Wilson for art instruction and Side Street Projects, introducing woodwork for all ages. The 13 students in the program organized a BUILD Community Day, where they hosted students from Five Acres, a local foster care facility. BUILD U. students fundraised and planned the event, serving others through a day of shared meals, music production, poetry, creative writing, and outdoor games. This experience underscored their leadership and commitment to giving back to the community. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 6: Harambee Girls Rock This year, we hosted the Harambee Girls Rock Event, where volunteers worked with 20 students to inspire them to understand their worth and value. The event's theme, "Blossom," was explored through activities such as music, beauty techniques, art, cooking, affirmations, self-esteem building, and mentorship. The girls left feeling empowered and motivated, a testament to the strength of this program.
