Membership in the Assocation is open to public schools under the supervision and direction of district boards of education, government Indian service schools, Oklahoma School for the Deaf, Oklahoma School for the Blind, and other schools as approved by the members of the Association. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 7a 14 of the 15 board members are elected by the membership. There is one at-large board member position that is appointed by the board. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 7b Changes to the constitution and rules require a membership vote. Constitution changes require a 2/3 majority; rules changes require a simple majority.
