Proceeds from any deaccessioned objects are restricted for use in support of the collections. Part III, Line 4: The library maintains and develops print, media, archival, and digital collections to support its mission of connecting the southern Maine community to its information needs. Materials are circulated or made accessible through the Library's facilities and website. The collections total more than 600,000 items and are primarily acquired through gifts, endowment support, and earned income. Thereafter the change in compensation has been subject to the collective bargaining agreement with all other employees. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 11b The prepared Form 990 is reviewed by the Finance Committee and provided to the Board of Trustees prior to filing. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12c New Board members, who are generally elected in June, attend an orientation in the summer at which the Board's by-laws are reviewed, including its conflict of interest policy (Article XI). Examples of conflicts are discussed at orientation to familiarize Board members with the concept and new Board members are provided with the Board's conflict of interest questionnaire to fill out. Board members are educated on their responsibility to raise the issue of a conflict if one should arise relating to any particular topic before the Board. New and continuing Board members are then also required to fill out the Board's conflict of interest questionnaire annually at the Board's September meeting. The Board president reviews all conflict of interest questionnaires to determine whether there is any standing conflict of interest disclosed in such questionnaires.
