We also hosted a scholars leadership luncheon for the 19 scholarship recipients and their parent/guardian. We provided school supplies for students at a primary school in Jamaica this benefited over 100 Grade 1 students and 28 Grade 6 students. We donated backpacks to a local Cambodian organization in Charlotte, NC this benefited 50 students. We made a contribution to the scholarship fund for the Caribbean Intl Cultural Association in Charlotte, NC, which benefited at least 1 graduating high school student. As a combination of our Education and Literacy and Healthcare programs, we supported the University of NC Chapel Hill Medical Brigades mission trip to Panama by providing medical equipment and supplies, which benefited approximately 400 patients served.
