June 2024 Superintendents Academy Certificates were issued to 200 superintendents and their executive teams for 10 recertification hours. Planning has begun for the 2025 Superintendents Academy Planning for the January 2020 conference took place; speaker contracts were secured; conference location and accommodation contracts were completed; conference materials were ordered and conference communication was developed such as the NASS website, session materials and the conference program. ADVOCACY: Superintendents, governmental affairs, and Ms. Keema spent time reading, analyzing, and proposing amendments to legislative bill/regulations and testifying on behalf of Pr-K-12 public education. NASS continued advocating for changing Nevadas School performance Framework through its committee work. July 9-12, 2024, five superintendents attended the AASA Advocacy conference and met with all six of Nevada representatives on educational topics.
