Residents may stay up to 18 months. Thanks to the skill of our House Manager and our generous donors, a serene backyard space was created by installing a solar-powered pond (fair market value $15,000 - installed for $2,000 donated specifically for the project), a fire pit, an adult swing, and a picnic table along with landscaping of the area. We also refurbished our large deck. We replaced galvanized plumbing with PVC, both waste and water lines, and renovated the affected kitchen and upstairs bathroom. Ten residents benefited. 2597 0 0 Resident Services / Domestic Abuse Recovery Program We hired an in-house manager and updated our Policies and Procedures Manual and Community Living Guide. Our three-year strategic goal is for 50% of our residents to stay a full 18 months and leave self-sufficient and independent. The Board formed a mentoring committee and created a personal development plan to meet that goal. Yeshua's House continued its Abuse Recovery Program with four professionals: a personal counselor, a financial management coach, a support group counselor, and a parenting educator. YH provided transportation to and from resident healthcare appointments, food bank, store, family outings/field trips, etc. Ten residents benefited from these improvements and services. 905 0 0 Community Support We have provided nonresident support to women in the community who have been in need, providing help such as hotel stays, meals by way of grocery shopping and restaurants, transportation, and other items needed. 833 0 0 Staff and Board Training We began work with a professional nonprofit strategy consultant and completed a Three-Year Strategic Plan in May 2024. We hired a part-time administrative assistant; updated our Constitution; and redesigned our brochures, business cards, marketing materials, and website, streamlining our brand.
