Roots (Adoption, Identity, Race, Exploration), designed to strengthen peer mentorship for youth and adults with lived adoption experience by providing mentors with training, resources, and their own peer support network. Using participatory research methods, the project explored what adoptees need in mentoring, trained community mentors in evaluation skills, developed a training curriculum, and conducted focus groups to gather insights.
