Our purpose is to reduce recidivism by working with each returning citizen to create a plan for their future that eliminates barriers, increases opportunities, repairs relationships and strengthens families and communities. 1 - We provide wrap around case management services that include advocacy and referrals to medical and mental health care, substance abuse treatment, employment and training programs, education, housing and legal services. We work with the Probation Officers and the Courts to assist clients in compliance with the requirements of their probation and court orders. We work directly with at least 30 clients who walk into our office for services each week. 2. We provide mental health counseling for individuals, couples, families and groups, helping clients to work through issues of trauma, PTSD, relationships and communications.We train Mental Health Counselors and Social Workers in provision of services to marginalized communities in a culturally sensitive manner. We have engaged at least 75 people in our counseling program. 3. We provide weekly outreach to the community who are mostly unhoused, distributing hygiene products and snacks, fresh fruits and cold water, clothing and shoes. We train individuals and groups on the use of Narcan to prevent death by overdose. We provide Harm Reduction kits that include test strips for Fentanyl and other lethal substances for Iv drug users. We collaborate with other community groups and provide referrals for their services and regular follow up care.
