Proposals are evaluated and selected by a committee consisting of a combination of staff, board members, former grantees, and/or issue experts. The Center retains committee reviews of grant proposals in its files. When awarded, grantees sign an agreement with the center outlining the programmatic and fiduciary responsibilities. Grantees do not receive grant funds without understanding their responsibilities outlined in the grant agreement.
