This landmark legislation has increased Social Security benefits for firefighters directly aligning with our mission to protect and support our members financial well-being. Impact: Advocacy Success: The passage of the Social Security Fairness Act has increased Social Security benefits for hundreds if not thousands of firefighters ensuring improved long-term financial security. Member Investment: This outcome demonstrates how our collective membership dues can be effectively leveraged to secure significant legislative victories that benefit our entire community. As part of our commitment we write checks totaling $1,500distributing $500 each to his three children to demonstrate our solidarity and care for union families.
