This program was designed to keep residents in their homes by paying for delinquent rent and utilities, as well as deposits for new tenancy. There was $70,000 allocated for this program, and we started the program in February of 2024. The program served a total of 52 households; 36 households received monies for delinquent rent and mortgage payments or new tenant deposits, and 16 households received monies for delinquent utility payments. A total of $77,410 dollars was spent on this program, and the housing assistance program was completed and closed in May of 2024. 46882 Through a grant awarded to us in 2024, we established a food trailer program. This program is ongoing and continuing to be developed. We started this program in February of 2024 with the purchase of a new food trailer. The purpose of the program is to provide weekly hot meals to the community of Roseburg through the food trailer. In 2024 we served over 200 meals out of the food trailer to members of our community. 41638 We expanded our food pantry in 2024 to include a walk-in refrigerator and freezer. This increased our cold food storage by 80%, and radically decreased food spoilage as a result. We were also able to purchase 2 new refrigerators to replace ones that were broken and not operating properly, and we purchased additional heavy duty shelving for food storage. By the end of 2024 we started serving an average of 1,500 households each month out of the pantry. With this increase, we also purchased food to supplement the food supply to meet the need. Part III, Line 3 The housing assistance program that was started in February of 2024 was completed and closed in May of 2024. Part III, Line 4d $20,188 was spent on Miscellaneous Outreach: this supplied the Dream Center with 300 tents, 400 tarps, 250 sleeping bags, hygiene supplies, and diapers. We also purchased supplies to create a haircutting station, and started a program to provide free haircuts to the unhoused and low income members of our community. Additionally, we did a Christmas Eve Outreach where we served 250 hot meals to the unhoused community, This event took place on Christmas Eve and was facilitated by over 150 volunteers. $14,833 was spent on our Open Hands Clothing Outreach: we purchased a 40' shipping container in order to increase our storage capacity for clothing on hand. We purchased shelving, totes, and hangers in order to store and stage the clothing for our clientele. We purchased additional clothing items to meet the needs of our community. This includes socks, underwear, sweatshirts, pants, coats, hats, and gloves. $1,467 was spent on our Under The Bridge Outreach: in 2024 we took teams of volunteers into the homeless camps and served a total 3,253 sack lunches, handed out hygiene supplies, socks, coats, hats, and blankets. We had a total of 393 volunteers that served over 1,300 hours over 24 weekends. $356 was spent on our Shower Trailer Outreach: these monies were spent on repairs needed to keep the shower trailer operational. We open the shower trailer on Wednesdays for the community to access.
