We work on the lake 4-5 days a week. This past summer we worked May 2nd- Dec 20th 2024 (days per year are weather dependent). We work remotely during winter on updating our software, fundraising, and finding other areas in need.We are surveying the bottom of Lake Tahoe in an organized grid pattern, beginning at depths of 25 300 feet. This has diluted contributions, as funds are spread thinly across several worthy causes. Changing Donor Behavior: There has been a noticeable shift in donor habits, with many individuals opting for smaller, occasional donations rather than significant one-time gifts or sustained annual commitments.These external pressures have made it challenging for our organization to consistently achieve high donation figures, despite demonstrable efforts to engage the public.Ongoing Commitment and Future Strategies Although the current donation levels have not met typical public charity expectations, our organization remains deeply committed to its mission and to expanding public support. We are continually refining our fundraising strategies to adapt to changing economic and social conditions by: Enhancing Outreach Efforts: Currently hiring experienced fundraisers to increase our efforts.
