For the fiscal year ended September 30, 2021, taxpayer's public support was 34.82%, for September 30, 2022, 29.84%, for September 30, 2023, 15.60% and for September 30, 2024, 16.16%. The FHE Leadership has been actively engaging in expanding its marketing reach to not only past scholars but also universities, local non-profits and the general public.The FHE program revenue is geared toward the administration of its Lugar Scholarship Program which awards 2, $20,000 scholarships and eight (8) $4,000 awards every year for a minority high school senior from a school in Indiana to go to a college or university in the state of Indiana. The purpose is to attract and retain Indiana students, preventing brain drain caused by students who would otherwise go to college out of state.The taxpayer pays scholarships to students.
