Revenue comes from individual donors. We keep our financial records on QuickBooksOnline and our client records in ServWare software. Receipts and bills are uploaded into the clients accounts. Our assistance goes to the needy and downtrodden in our community. The client calls our helpline to request assistance. A volunteer returns the call and has a conversation to gain insight into their needs. If they think we can help the volunteer makes an appointment for a home visit. After two volunteers visit the client they use their judgment to make an assist. If needed the ones on duty will consult with other members before making a decision. Part III General Schedule I Part III Column b. Our charity gave 5 used vehicles to 5 different needy clients during the current year. However the transportation provided by the vehicles will benefit all members of the 5 recipients. Part VI, Section B, Line 1 Our St Vincent de Paul Conference follows the Rule which was established in 1835. We do not have a board but we are associated with upper levels of the Society. We have our independent tax exemption with the IRS. As for the Society we are a Conference which is on the local level. Within a broad range of rules we make our own decisions locally by using a consensus-based process. We are all volunteers who work together to develop an agreement that is good enough but not necessarily perfect. We must vote to elect our president or when consensus cannot be reached. Our 24 active members can vote while our 16 associates cannot. Everyone has their say and we are all independent. Part VI, Line 11b After preparation and line by line review by the Treasurer and Chair of Finance committee the Form 990 and its schedules are presented to the president first. After filing at the next meeting all information is presented to all members. Extra copies are available for any members asking for one. Part VI, Line 19 Our conference makes our governing documents available to the public on the IRS website the Guidestar website and by giving a copy to anyone who requests the documents. We annually send a copy to the St. Vincent de Paul Council of Pensacola-Tallahassee. Our financial information is provided on our Form 990 and Annual Report which is filed with the National office of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul each year. If a conflict of interest were to arise the member involved is asked to leave the meeting while the others resolve the issue.
