We rely heavily on volunteers This is our first 990EZ filing Last year we filed the 990 postcard form We lost a key volunteer resource that supports the financial process and the reminders from the organization File990 used in the prior year to file the tax form were going to spam Although the board and directors were aware of the 5th month filing we incorrectly understood that filing by the end of the 5th month was ok We also ran into issue when attempting to complete the 990EZ requiring research and support Due to this being our first 990EZ filing and running into issues when completing the form the misunderstanding on the exact day of the month and being short-staffed while seeking but not finding a financial resource to support this submission is a few days late We sincerely apologize
