The event brings in hundreds of local residents and visitors to the event which includes a dinner, a raffle, and a silent auction of donated merchandise from area merchants. Ethnic Festival is a one day event held annually promoting the diverse cultures of the local region. The event includes food, music, and merchandise vendors and is open to the public. The event promotes the cultural & civic aspects of the local area and brings in tourist and local tax revenues to the area businesses. Chamber Banquet is an event to honor the top citizen and member of Ballinger Area Chamber of Commerce. Thoughout the year the chamber will hold other fundraising events including Trunk or Treat and a city wide garage sale to promote the city's commerce.
