Most common are grants for the purpose of dating archeological samples from sites member volunteers worked on. The funds are paid directly to companies like Beta Analytic for dating the materials Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 2 The Editor and Treasurer are husband and wife. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 6 The organization has members that form the base of our volunteer groups. Members also receive newsletters and an annual scientific journal of related archeological activities Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7a Each year at the annual meeting our members are able to vote on officers up for reelection Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b Each quarter the executive committee meets. A standard part of the meeting is to review all of the financials. So while they don't see the 990 as it is completed they have seen all of the financials that make it up. They also have the option to review it before hand if they wish. Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19 All documents are available on the website. The membership has a standing invitation to contact the treasure and inspect the financials at any time. The financials for the end of the year are published in the society newsletter. The treasurer provides access to the financials at the annual meeting to any member that wishes to inspect the books.
