The sdchps is a sponsor for this program. The sdchps has sponsored Art Camp for four years. 99300 8300 0 Heritage Village Repairs: this is a lot with 5 structures; 2 cottages, a doctors office, a lawyers office and a dove cote. The 6th structure was not repairable after the January 2023 tornado took it out. The structures were moved to the site and are open for tours depicting life in the late 1800's to the early 1900's. We borrowed funds from the SBA to repair the roofs and porches. There are no expenses as services are donated. The Salad Luncheon has all donated items served up by volunteers. The Holiday Festival is held in a building we already own, vendors bring in items to sell, the sdchps charges a fee for selling said items to make money. There are no expenses. We purchases camellias to sell. They had a price. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7a The elected president of the SDCHPS has the power to appoint commitee chairpersons and committee members. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7b Changes to the SDCHPS By-Laws are voted on by the general membership during the annual meeting in May or at a quarterly meeting. A copy of the return is included in the minute record book for view by anyone interested. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c There are several board members who have been on the board for a long time. These historians remind the other board members of policies and procedures. Often the reminder comes before an opportunitiy to look the rules up has taken place. No board member is allowed to be paid for any job done for the sdchps. Members needing to be paid must go off the board. It is understood when taking office that no board member is paid while serving on the board. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15 No board member is allowed to receive compensation from the sdchps while serving on the board. Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 18 Copies of the current By-Laws were distributed to the general membership and voted on at the annual meeting. The form 990 is included in our minute book records. Upon request to our treasurer, the minute books which includes financials is available for viewing. It is also available at each monthly board meeting for public viewing as well as any other time by request. Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19 All records of the sdchps are available to the public at the annual meeting held each year in May or at the monthly board meeting held the first Tuesday of each month. The minute book also includes the monthly financial reports. Upon request to the treaurer, Candi C Duncan, said items maybe viewed at another time. The accountant who looks over this tax return broke her shoulder. We applied for and extention and it was granted.
