Member election for additional members Part VI line 7a To become a member of the Asian American Peace Officers Association (AAPOA), the applicant must be in good standing with the law enforcement agency he /she is employed with. The applicant must submit a resume along with the AAPOA membership application. Once the AAPOA Board of Directors recieves the applicants membership application; an extensive review is conducted before granting the applicant permission to become an AAPOA member. Governing body decisions Part VI line 7b All governing decisions of the organization is reserved and or subject to approval only by the Asian American Peace Officers Associaton (AAPOA) Board of Directors Form 990 governing body review Part VI line 11 The Asian American Peace Officers Associaton shall adopt upon approval by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the Board of Directors. These governing documents serve as the governing framework for the internal operations, procedures, and responsibilities of the Association and its members.Proposed amendments to the governing documents may be initiated through a written submission by a regular member in good standing. Any such amendment shall be subject to review and must recieve the affirmative vote of two-thirds (2/3) of the Board of Directors to be enacted.The Secretary shall be responsible for maintaining the official and most current version of the governing documents, including all dully adopted amendments. Updated governing documents shall be made assessible to all members. Governing documents etc available to public Part VI line 19 The Asian American Peace Officers Association (AAPOA), is transparent with its governing documents, conflicits of interests, and any documents pertaining to our association, made available to all members via monthly board meetings, hard copies placed on the bulletin board at our storefront, and copies sent to members emails.
