Throughout the year, 162 families received assistance. $1000.00 was given to BASIC for food for a children's summer education program. This program is growing and we hope to receive adequate revenue to continue. All work is volunteer. We cannot assist with rent on a continuing or long term basis, however, each need is evaluated on a case by case basis. We were able to assist 45 families throughout the year to cover part of their rent expenses to avoid eviction. This problem worsens in the summer since many seasonal workers lose employment. $39,133 in assistance was provided during the year. All requests are brought before the general assembly of members for review, discussion and vote. Approved requests are paid directly to the vendor. No member of the Board has an interest in any business presented. During the year the Treasurer resigned. The IRS filing had not been completed prior to his resignation. An extension had been requested and granted. Our Secretary acted as interim Treasurer and submitted the filing before the deadline of the extension. I was appointed as Treasurer on 10/14/2025 and on review of the financial reports, it was found that a small, but significant error had occurred when a record was reconciled for 2024 after the filing. This is the reason for the amended filing.
