<FactsAndCircumstancesTestTxt>A. Percentage of Public SupportFMDF's public support percentage for 2024 was 18.62% substantially in excess of the 10% minimum and it satisfies other factors in that test as noted below. B. Attraction of Public SupportFriends of Mexican Development Foundation ("FMDF") has maintained a continuous and bona fide program for the solicitation of funds from individuals, businesses, donor advised funds and charitable organizations that are interested in its programs. During the 5-year period ended December 31, 2024, FMDF received contributions from 25 unique contributors.FMDF and its grantees work to identify American individuals, both in the US and in Mexico and Central America, who have an interest in furthering the development of charitable agencies in Mexico, protecting health and the environment, in addition to other charitable purposes. FMDF also maintains a website, www.fomdf.org, where the public is invited to make donations online. C. Other Public Support Factors 1) History of Public Support: As recently as 2019, FMDF's public support percentage surpassed the 33.3% threshold at 37.73%. 2) Sources of Support: Virtually all of FMDF' support comes from the public. FMDF receives support from a representative group of individuals, businesses and charitable organizations. As noted above, during the five-year period ended December 31, 2024, FMDF received contributions from 25 unique contributors. To the best of our knowledge, none of the donors are related to one another and none of the FMDF donors (except for the FMDF Chairman who has made donations from his own Foundation in Mexico) is an officer or director of FMDF. In short, FMDF supporters are a broad and diverse group, as opposed to a single individual or family. 3) Representative Governing Body: FMDF's Board of Directors consists of civic leaders who are broadly representative of the community interested in its programs and have interest in and expertise in Mexico's charitable sector and non-profit management. The following individuals are on the Board:Name & AffiliationsMiguel Aleman Velasco, Chairman - politican, businessman & philanthropist; former Chairman of Interjet Airlines; President, Fundacin Miguel Aleman; Former Mexican senator; Former governor of Veracruz. Ann Brownell Sloane, Secretary - Founder of Sloane & Hinshaw, management and administrative business serving philanthropists and foundations, including "American Friends of organizations; Former Executive Vice President of the International Development Foundation; Previously worked in the Latin America Bureau of the Agency for International Development.Dame Jill Sackler - Philanthropist and Civic LeaderClaudia Aleman Magnani - Philanthropist and Civic LeaderSam Meacham - Research Scientist focused on Mexican hydrology and cave diving expeditions and mappingDominique Rissolo - Research Scientist, University of California, San DiegoClaudia Aleman Magnani is the daughter of Miguel Aleman Velasco.4) Availability of Public Facilities or Services: FMDF makes grants to organizations that benefit the public, including: Amigos de Sian Ka'an (ASK), which works to protect the unique environment and hydrological systems of Quintana Roo, in particular the Sian Ka'an Biosphere, a World Heritage Site. ASK has been instrumental in gaining protection for the mangroves and jungle of Cozumel, the Chichankanab Lagoon System, and Bacalar Ecological Park.Fondo de Conservacin El Triunfo AC, which aims to assure the conservation of El Triunfo Biosphere Reserve and the sustainable development of its inhabitants. El Triunfo protects some of the last stretches of cloud forests, one of the most threatened ecosystems in the world.El Centro Investigador del Sistema Aqufero de Quintana Roo (CINDAQ), which runs the Ox Bel Ha Water Protection Research Project locating and mapping the subterranean rivers of Quintana Roo in order to provide data for water planning and environmental protection in the region.Fundacin para la Salud y la Educacin Dr. Salvador Zubirn (FUNSAED), which supports a hospital in Mexico as well as medical research.</FactsAndCircumstancesTestTxt>
