PART III LINE 4A Special Needs Program- Dolly's Dream Home is known for taking in severely special-needs rabbits, not discriminating by breed, age, or ability. We exhaust all options to provide the best quality of life, including physical therapy, custom wheelchairs, and other specialized care, before considering peaceful euthanasia. APPROXIMATELY $35,000 WAS SPENT ON 32 SPECIAL NEEDS RABBITS . OUR DEFINITION OF SPECIAL NEEDS INCLUDES MORE SEVER CASES LIKE BROKEN SPINES, NEUROLOGICAL DAMAGE, LIVER LOBE TORSION, DENTAL DISEASE, UTERINE TUMORS, ETC. mOST PLACES WOULD CONSIDER ISSUES LIKE PASTURELLA AND COCCIDIA TO BE SPECIAL NEEDS, BUT WE DO NOT, UNLESS COCCIDIA BECOMES HEPATIC. PART III LINE 4A No-Euthanasia Policy: Our organization does not euthanize for space or aggression. Bunnies are welcome to stay in our fully trained foster homes for as long as needed and are treated as family. This policy, known as the Dolly's Difference, is a core tenet of our mission. PART III LINE 4B COLLABORATION WITH OTHER RESCUES-DOLLY'S DREAM HOME BELIEVES THAT RESCUES WORK BETTER TOGETHER AND THAT ANIMALS NEED MORE HELP. SINCE THEN, THERE HAVE BEEN UNOFFICIAL BOARD MEMBERS. RECENTLY LORI ABERNATHY HAS JOINED THE BOARD AND TRENTON BOOTHE WILL BE JOINING SHORTLY. AT THE TIME OF FILING THIS RETURN, THERE ARE CURRENTLY 2 OFFICIAL OFFICERS AND EXPECT TO MEET THE 3 MEMBER REQUIREMENT WITHIN THE MONTH. We often buy meals for volunteers who spend 8+ hours at the rescue in a day, for those who help us paint our new facility, and if anyone has to stay far later than expected at night. No meal costs are incurred for meetings, as we just bring our own snacks. PART VIII LINE 1A CONTRIBUTIONS RECEIVED 120892.68 PART VIII PROGRAM SERVICE REVENUE The organization received $120,892.68 in contributions from individual donors during the tax year. These amounts are reported on Line 1a as direct public support. In addition, the organization generated $146,638.71 in program service revenue from the operation of a storefront and online store that sells rabbit pet supplies. These sales are directly related to the organization's exempt purpose of supporting rabbit rescue and care, and are therefore reported on Line 2a as program service revenue. The total revenue reported on Line 12 is $267,531.39. PART IX STATEMENT OF FUNCTIONAL EXPENSES Expenses are categorized according to their functional classification, including advertising and marketing, professional fees, occupancy, office expenses, payroll, supplies, travel, veterinary services, and vehicle expenses. These expenses support the organization's mission to rescue and care for rabbits. PART X BALANCE SHEET The net assets or fund balances at the end of the year total $64,886.57, as reported on Line 33. This amount represents the net income for the year and includes both restricted and unrestricted funds.
