Specifically, we switched accounting systems early in the year. Unfortunately, when our prior subscription ended, the old provider deleted our account, which contained all of our uploaded receipts and financial records. It took many months for the provider to recover the deleted account and restore access to our transaction history. Because the supporting documentation was essential to ensure accuracy, we could not complete the return until all records were retrieved. Once the files were recovered, we carefully verified the data, reconciled our accounts, and immediately proceeded with preparing and submitting our return. To prevent this from happening again, we do not plan to change accounting systems in the foreseeable future, and we have implemented a monthly backup process to ensure that our financial records remain accessible and protected.
