The organization is concerned primarily with enriching, sustaining and ensuring the identities, culture and economic survival of the African Americans and person of African descent. To contribute to the formation of a positive, productive and culturally diverse society. The Links, Incorporated also focuses on education, cultural enrichment, health and wellness and civic involvement. This focus is implemented through strategies such as in public information and education, economic development and public policy. Black Kare hosted a Black Family Wellness clinic and served a total of 33 people. Also, we did tabling at various community events, provided gift cards, gifts bags filled with educational and resource materials. We also rented a large billboard in a key location in the community that informed thousands of commuting citizens of where they could get more information on kidney health. We also held a a 5 week Oral Hygiene Program in Jefferson City at the Boys and Girls Club.
