Davis, an Oklahoma native with family roots in Wichita County, who holds a graduate degree from The University of Oklahoma in Museum Studies. Davis became Executive Director in the spring of 2024 and through his extensive educational background and experience in the field has had an immediate impact on the exhibitions, educational programming, and community engagement offered by the museum.The museum welcomed 4,472 visitors, including school groups, families, researchers, and tourists. Over the course of 2024's six After Hours Artwalk events, 1,720 visitors passed through the doors during the combined 24-hour (four hours per night) run. The museum also hosted two major temporary exhibitions, Uniforms of the American Airman and Home for the Holidays, highlighting military service, aviation heritage, and regional history contributions to the area. The museum continued to offer its core exhibits, including the Bill English Military Collection, Heritage Hall, and the guest favorite Generations of Play toy exhibit.Educational outreach expanded significantly in 2024 through in-person tours, partnerships with area schools, and new digital content initiatives. The museum collaborated with local educators to serve several hundred K-12 students through our field trip program.
