Members come from the local chapters of the Latin American Motorcycle Association. To become members of L.A.M.A. International, the individuals pay a one-time membership fee of $103. Subsequent annual membership fees are $20. For voting purposes, in accordnace with the bylaws, only the President and Vice President of the local chapters are eligible to vote at the International Rally meetings. Form 990 governing body review Part VI line 11 The independent accountant meets with the Treasurer to check the accuracy and correctness of the information presented on Form 990. The Treasurer, after gaining an understanding of the document, then presents the Form 990 to the International board. The organizations Treasurer works together with an independent Certified Public Accountant to prepare the annual financial statements and then prepare Form 990. Form 990 is then made available to the International board for their analysis and comments. Governing documents etc available to public Part VI line 19 At the present time, the public needs to contact any board member to obtain copies of its governing documents, conflict of interest policy and financial statements. The organization is currently working on establishing a website, which would become another souce where these documents can be obtained by the public.
