CFA is a joint effort by the State of Alaska office of Childrens Services, The Alaska Childrens Alliance, The State of Alaska Department of Public Safety, the State of Alaska Department of Law, The University of Alaska Anchorage Child Welfare Academy, Child Advocacy Center Staff and other Multidisciplinary Team Members. CFA money is used at the discretion of the collaboration membership. The CFA is not a legal separate entitiy and ACAs policy is to recognize CFA funds as cash held in trust for CFA with a corresponding liability. Pt VI, Line 6 The Alaska Childrens Alliance is a membership organization comprised of Independent Child Advocacy Centers throughout Alaska. Pt VI, Line 7a Child Advocacy Center managers represent the ACA membership and among their group they elect a chairperson who in turn sits on the ACA Board. Pt VI, Line 11b The annual form 990 will be emailed to the board by the Executive Director prior to filing. Pt VI, Line 12c ACA has a general policy and procedure manual that includes a policy with a duty to disclose conflicts of interest that may arise. New board members are required to sign and acknolwedgement form that they will comply with all ACA policy and procedures. There is not currently a procedure to revisit this policy annually or regularaly check-in with existing board members as to new conflicts of interest that may have arisen. Pt VI, Line 15a The Executive Directors salary is determined by the ACA board based on comparable data on salary from other organizations locally to determine scale.
